Block your OPay account: *955*131#

OPay is unusual in giving the account and the card two different block codes. *955*131# locks the whole account, so nobody can move money out of it. Use this when your phone itself is gone, because whoever has the phone may also have access to the app.

Dial it from any phone and follow the prompts. If you can borrow a phone faster than you can reach customer care, this is the first thing to do.

Block only your OPay card: *955*132#

*955*132# locks your OPay debit card but leaves the account working. Use this when you have lost the card or seen a card payment you don't recognise, but you still have your phone and want to keep making transfers from the app.

Transfers and balance with *955#

Dial *955# from your registered number and follow the menu for transfers, airtime and your balance. OPay hasn't published separate shortcut codes for these on its official channels that we could verify, so we don't list the shortcuts that circulate on other sites.

OPay advertises free transfers to other Nigerian banks within limits shown in the app, so check the app for the current terms before you rely on a USSD transfer being free.
