Moniepoint USSD code for transfer
Dial *5573# and choose the transfer option. You can send money to another Moniepoint account or to any Nigerian bank, and every transfer is confirmed with your PIN.
Moniepoint grew through its agent and merchant network, so many people dialling *5573# are shop owners moving takings to a supplier or a personal account while the network is too weak for the app. Moniepoint charges ₦10 for transactional USSD services such as transfers, airtime, data and balance checks, according to its USSD page.
Turn on Moniepoint USSD first
Unlike many banks, Moniepoint keeps USSD switched off until you enable it. In the Personal or Business app, tap your profile picture, open Settings and switch on USSD Banking. On the web app it sits under Settings, then Security. You will be asked for your PIN.
If *5573# says the channel is not enabled, this setting is the reason. If it says you have no account, you are probably dialling from a number that is not the one on your Moniepoint profile.
Block your Moniepoint account with *5573*911#
Dial *5573*911# to block or unblock your account. Moniepoint says this works with or without your own phone, which matters for a merchant whose POS phone has just been stolen.
Check balance, airtime, data and PIN
Balance, airtime, data and PIN reset all sit in the *5573# menu rather than having their own short codes. Dial the root code and pick the option you need.
