Zenith Bank transfer code to other banks

Zenith uses one transfer code for everything: *966*Amount*AccountNumber#. For example, *966*1000*1234567890# starts a ₦1,000 transfer, which is the example Zenith gives on its own *966# page. There is no separate code for other banks. The same string covers Zenith-to-Zenith and Zenith-to-other-bank payments, and the menu then asks you to confirm the details.

Amount comes first, then the account number, the same order as GTBank and First Bank and the reverse of UBA and Wema. Zenith says to dial from the phone number you registered with the bank. From any other line, the transfer won't go through.

Opening an account on *966*0#

Zenith stands out for letting you open an account from your dial pad. Dial *966*0#, follow the prompts, and Zenith sends your 10-digit NUBAN by SMS. Zenith says no account opening forms are needed.

Airtime and bill payments

Buy airtime for yourself or someone else with *966*Amount*MobileNumber#. Pay DStv, PHCN (electricity) and other Zenith billers with *966*7*Amount*CustomerID#.

Eazy by Zenith and other channels

Zenith also promotes Eazy by Zenith alongside its mobile app, for customers who'd rather bank with data. We haven't summarised its features here because we couldn't load Zenith's own page for it to check them. Without data, *966# is the option to use.

Zenith also runs an automated voice banking line on 0201-278-7000. Calling from your registered number lets you transfer funds, buy airtime, restrict your account or block your card. Its customer service email is zenithdirect@zenithbank.com.
